Diving In To Another Summer

It's that time of year again.  Warm nights and even warmer days.  All three of the kids are on the swim team this year and it has been awesome so far.  www.clecrocs.org

Claudia, Connor & Jake have all been practicing daily and improvement has been noticed.  Connor qualified for Blue in the Breast Stroke in the first meet. 

Jake has been doing great considering he joined the team one week before the first meet. 

Claudia has been doing awesome considering that she's the youngest in the pool at three and she's swimming against girls six and under...

Their team won their first meet ever in two years last week and it was a great way to start off the year for the team. 

Mommy is staying busy shuttling everyone to and from all of their commitments.  She's the best.

Connor & Jake are both continuing their Karate class once a week and both passed their first belt test.  They enjoyed their first competition bringing home the hardware.

I know that we haven't posted lately and promise wi'll post more in the days to come.  It's getting late so we're signing off for tonight and we'll see you all soon...

Annual Hay Ride and Hot Dog Roast

Every year my Dad does a Hay Ride on his Ranch and then the Stewarts do a Hot Dog Roast on their Farm.  It wa so much fun this year! It was cold but not as cold as last year!

The kids run and jump off the trailer being pulled by the tractor and then wait is as long as they can till they have to run as fast as their little legs will take them so they can jump back on the trailer. Only to do it all over again once they have caught their breath.

This year the kids also got on top of the round hay bails and ran down the row of them as fast as they could with out falling off. My nerves were a little high at that point. haha

Also, they all took turns doing the rope swing before it got dark and we headed over for the hot dog torching.

Halloween is full of fall festivals, pumpkin carving, and pumpkin seed baking!  Stephan makes the best pumpkin seeds.

Halloween is also full of decisions, decisions and more decisions. You see when you are 6 and 3 you change your mind several times before you actually get a costume.

Claudia finally decided on being Jasmine from Aladden and Connor was a blue Ninja that had a sword!

This Halloween was so awesome because they both understood what to do, which meant Claudia was able to keep up with her big brother Connor and sometimes sneak ahead of him and she even tried to do a couple houses twice.

Upcoming surgery better equal fewer lbs. on the scale

Okay, so I never have smoked, but other than that we look a lot alike. After having a softball size cyst removed from my left ovary, a little tumor on my right I really thought I would have lost at least a little weight. But, no. None.

So, with my second surgery approaching quickly (November 10th), but not quick enough because I have been in severe pain. I am okay as long as I don't move which is really hard to do when you have a 15, 6, and very active 3 year old. This time I am saying goodbye to my uterus and it better weight something.  I keep telling Stephan that I will be fine and I would be okay even if I have cancer. I told him a few of the benefits: weight loss, my hair could come back in thicker and a different color. I am keeping a positive attitude which is exactly what my mom would want me to do. I also let him know that if I lost my hair I would be getting two eyes tattooed on the back of my head and yes, I am very serious.

My mom was so awesome. One of the funniest things she did when she was going through chemo and had her colostomy was put stickers of kids swimming on her bag when she went to her Doctors appointment. It made them both laugh and everyone who hears about her doing that laughs. My mom was so funny and caring!

Back to surgery. The possible third surgery in the series is the one I don't want to have. So, I am praying that the second one goes great; I am pain free and free of everything else. Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy my picture and I love you so very much and miss you so very much Mommy Dearest. That was one of our favorite movies to watch and we use to call her that in public, then she would threaten to beat us with a wire hanger. Wow, we sound like such a weird family! Aren't we all?

Learning...So Please Forgive Me

Okay. So, here is my very first official post for our family blog that we have had for a couple of years. The previous 2 or 3 post were from my wonderful and techie husband.

October has been a very busy month for our family. This past weekend was no exception. Stephan took the boys to the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi. They went with Connor's Pack 1655. Yes, my little man is a Cub Scout. He is really enjoying it so far and his Pack does some really cool things for the entire family.

While the boys were off Claudia and I went to a Fall Festival with Beverly, Rachel, and baby Sean. They kids had a blast. Both of the girls wanted cotton candy so bad, but when we gave it to them they didn't want it. Bev and I ate their cotton candy with no complaints! They enjoyed the bounce houses the most and the clown that made them all balloon animals. It was so funny because Rachel wanted a tiny dog, Claudia wanted a big dog, and Sean just wanted a balloon.

They family was back together on Sunday. The kids filled us in on the trip while we drove to Aunt Cindy and Uncle Dan's for a Bar-B-Que. Dan's parents and aunt were here from Canada. A. We had a lot of fun, but had to leave at 7pm so we could then make Connor's storybook pumpkin for school. The pumpkins have to be decorated from a book, so Connor chose Geronomo Stilton. He did really good and had a blast doing it!

Not so good... I can't put the pictures in the places I want. Ahhh
